The Northern Gateway, in Manchester, refers to two large-scale regeneration projects: a major employment project and a residential development.

The employment focus, referred to as a ‘generation of job creation’, is centered around advanced manufacturing, industrial and logistics businesses located near key Manchester motorways.

The latest proposals for the Northern Gateway, located in Greater Manchester, are moving forward with an additional councillor meeting next week. The Northern Gateway is set to ‘rebalance’ the Greater Manchester economy and bring sustainable growth to the region.

Councillor Eamonn O’Brien, leader of Bury Council, said: “The Northern Gateway site is an absolute game-changer, and crucial to our ambitions to boost our economy and create thousands of good quality jobs – we really are talking about a generation of job creation”
