The UK’s largest digital automotive marketplace, Autotrader, has confirmed it’s major move to Circle Square, occupying more than 100,000 sq ft of office space.
Autotrader’s new state-of-the-art workspace will span seven floors; with six floors dedicated to work space, in addition to a private rooftop terrace. The major move confirms Autotrader’s commitment to Manchester, as the city continues to grow as a hotspot for global businesses.
Alison Ross, Chief People and Operations Officer at Autotrader said: “We are deeply proud of our connection to Manchester, and over the course of the last decade, it’s become ingrained in our culture. The access to exceptional digital talent and skills from across the region has been integral to our growth and one of the key reasons why today, we are one of the UK’s largest technology companies. “
She added “To continue to grow, we not only need more space to house our rapidly expanding data and technology teams, but also state-of-the-art facilities which can support their pace of innovation and ambition…The relocation of our head office to Circle Square within the heart of Manchester’s thriving tech community will help us to deliver this growth, and it reaffirms our unwavering commitment to the city”
Over 900 Auto Trader colleagues will relocate to the new space in early 2026, following its fit-out completion in spring next year, including the team’s 400 strong in-house data scientists. The office move will enable the company to grow further, with the collaborative space allowing the company to share learnings, data, insights and experiences.
