Global sportswear company Puma has announced a landmark move, relocating their UK base and headquarters from the capital to Manchester.

Its new purpose built £87M city centre office is based in Circle Square, in the heart of Manchester’s Oxford Road corridor. On the door of Manchester’s world leading academic institutions and creative talent, Puma will join Autotrader at Circle Square, alongside Avalere Health, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Roku

In regards to the move, Cllr Bev Craig said “this illustrates Manchester’s international impact. Manchester is the fastest-growing city in the UK and has real momentum as a centre for jobs and investment in innovation. Circle Square is making a tangible contribution to this story, attracting prestigious occupiers who want to work in an environment which supports collaboration and new ideas.”

The new building offers staff a roof terrace with cityscape views, ‘luxury breakout lounges’, a gym, and opens out onto Symphony Park, a 24,000 sq ft green space that forms the centrepiece of the £750m Circle Square neighbourhood.

Puma’s UK managing director Lucynda Davies said the move from the capital is due to the business wanting to be “surrounded by such a strong line up of [the fashion] industry, and find somewhere in the heart of Manchester’s thriving tech community”.
