The University of Manchester has been declared a top educational institution for attracting the top graduate employers, as revealed in the Graduate Market in 2025 report.
Manchester has placed second in the Graduate Market report, placing higher than universities such as Imperial College London, Oxford, Cambridge, and Warwick.
The graduate report compiled by High Fliers ranks UK universities which have attracted the most top graduate employers for university careers fairs, on-campus employer presentations, university-specific virtual events, careers service promotions and initiatives, and other locally run publicity during 2024-2025.
The vast range of blue-chip employers in Manchester has contributed to the city’s high graduate retention rate (51%), with the young talent pool opting to stay within the city centre to build their careers. This has led to a surge in demand from young professionals, with expectations increasing as this large demographic seeks luxury accommodation.
