Manchester International Airport has announced it’s record passenger numbers, with almost 2.4million passengers flying through in December, and over 32 million passengers travelling through the airport throughout 2025.

This yearly total is a 4% increase on 2024, establishing Manchester Airport as the third largest airport in the UK, behind only Heathrow and Gatwick located in London.

The majority of these passengers travelled through Manchester Airport’s brand new Termonal 2, which has recently undergone a period of improvement following a £1.3billion investment.

Manchester Airport Managing Director Chris Woodroofe said: “Here at Manchester Airport, we’re proud to connect the North to the world – so the fact we were able to serve a record-breaking 32m passengers in 2025 is great news.”

Manchester Airport boasts strong global connections, with daily direct flights to Europe, North the Middle East, the Caribbean, and Asia.
