The Co-operative bank has announced their new office acquisition, in which they have secured a 45,000 sq ft office space across three floors at One Balloon Street. 

Matt Shufflebottom, director in CBRE’s office team in Manchester, said: “This deal underlines the continued demand for high-quality, fully fitted workspace in Manchester city centre. The Co-operative Bank’s expansion is a strong endorsement of [One Balloon Street] and its long-term appeal.”

The Co-operative bank employs over 3,350 people, with the headquarters in Manchester city centre. The significant expansion in their office size reaffirms the confidence in the city from major employers, as Manchester’s economy begins to thrive.

Manchester is experiencing an economic annual growth at over twice the national rate, with the city experiencing significant growth across multiple sectors.
